Will there be road closures in place?
No road closures in place.

Please note that there is no vehicle access via Gate 3 or 4, Parker Avenue.

Is camping available on-site?

NO the Ipswich Showgrounds Caravan Park is closed to public bookings for the duration of the event. Camping is only permitted to approved competitors and crew for the event.

Will the event be cancelled/postponed due to weather?
This event will proceed in all weather conditions, except if deemed unsafe due to severe weather such as storms or lightning.

Can I purchase a ticket at the gate?
YES – Jump the queue and purchase online.

YES – you can purchase at the gate on both days if you can’t grab your tickets online, so long as the event does not sell out prior.

What is the definition of Adult, Child Concession and Family?

ADULT ticket is for a person who does not meet the requirements for purchasing a child or concession ticket.

CHILD ticket is for anyone 5 – 12 years of age.

CONCESSION ticket is for any full-time student (age 13 and over) in possession of a Student Identification Card, or any other valid concession (Centrelink Pension Card, Seniors Card, Veteran and DVA Health Card).

CHILD FREE Ticket is for Children 4 and under.

FAMILY ticket comprises of 2 adults and 2 children only.

How do I present my ticket on the day?
You can present the ticket for scanning on your phone at the gate/door or you can bring a printed copy.

I can’t find my ticket?

If you need to have your ticket resent, you can find them on the website account.

Can I get a pass-out?
YES – pass out armbands will be issued only after verified scanned entry to the event for that day. 

Can food and drink be brought in?
NO 
drinks or liquid of any kind are permitted on entry.

NO glass containers are permitted on entry

YES you can bring empty re-usable water bottles up to 1.5L (not glass)

YES you can bring packed food

What food options are available?
A wide variety of food vendors will be available on the Main Arena including the Grandstand Pavilion Kitchen/Café and the Terrace Café.

Smoking
Only permitted in the designated smoking area.

Dogs & Animals are not permitted with spectators at the National Finals Rodeo.
Animals with spectators are not permitted for safety and Biosecurity reasons.

If you bring an animal with you to the Ipswich Show you will be denied entry.

Exceptions:
Service & Guide Dogs, or Animals approved for medical purposes (certificate/ identification of approval will need to be shown to gate staff/security).

Is there an ATM at the Rodeo?

No, if you have lost an item, please contact the Ipswich Show Society team with your contact information and description of the item, via info@ipswichshow.com.au

Are the Amusement rides in the Kids Zone free? 
NO – Amusement rides are not included in your entry tickets.
All rides are pay per ride, at individual rides.

What should I bring?

· Your ticket (this can be digital).

· Empty re-usable water bottles up to 1.5L (not glass) – water refill station will be available.

· Sun protection! Hat, shirt, and sunscreen.

· If it looks like rain, bring along wet weather gear, think ponchos and gumboots (NO UMBRELLAS)

· Photo ID – you must present your ID on entry to the show to validate age for the purpose of concessions and for alcohol service verification.

· Medication –bring any medications/treatments you might require if you suffer from a serious illness or condition, such as epilepsy or asthma. First Aid Services will be on site for emergencies

Will there be a cloakroom available?
NO

YES – It is located in the Grandstand Pavilion Amenities – Disabled

Can professional camera equipment be brought in?
Images of the Specified Event taken with a camera, mobile phone or other wireless device cannot be used for any purpose other than for private and domestic purposes, without prior written consent of Ipswich Show Society and payment of any imposed fee. Images cannot be sold, licensed, published or otherwise commercially exploited.

What are the seating arrangements?
T
here is a combination of grandstand seating and standing areas. There is no allocated seating, it is first in best dressed.

No additional seating can be brought in by spectators.

Picnic rugs are permitted.

Can I bring alcohol into the event?
NO. All alcohol must be purchased on site. Any alcohol brought in will be confiscated and may result in eviction from the event, without refund.

Will my bags be searched?
YES. Bag checks are a condition of entry to the Event.

Is the Event Licenced?
YES. You must be 18+ with valid photo ID to purchase or consume alcohol.

Buying or supplying alcohol to a minor will result in eviction and possible police referral.

Will there be First Aid on site?
YES – First Aid services will be available during event hours.

Do you accept Companion Cards?
YES – we accept Companion Cards at the event. 

Patrons with an official Companion Card as defined by the Australian Government, must be accompanied by the Concession ticket holder. The Companion card holder will receive a free general ticket admission. The Companion cards must be presented at the gate, accompanied by the paying concession card holder.
