About The Markets

The Ipswich Showplace Markets are an open-air market held every Sunday and The Ipswich Showgrounds Twilight Markets are held on the last Saturday of every Month.

Run by the Ipswich Show Society (a not-for-profit organisation), all proceeds support the maintenance and upgrading of the markets and Ipswich Showgrounds.

Stallholder currently sell a range of goods including: Fresh Produce, Food & Beverages, Baked Goods, Sweets, Jams, Health Goods, Craft/Handmade Goods, Plants, Services, Information, Collectables and more.

Free onsite and street parking. Parking can be found near the Front and Back Market gates, with the main showgrounds car park located at top of hill.


Smoking is NOT permitted within the market area.


Disability Scooters

Drive with care at a walking pace within the markets.

Bikes / Scooters / Segway

Must be walked within the markets. Please don’t lock bikes to our gates.


Dogs are now permitted inside the market area under the following conditions:

  • Dogs must be enclosed/leashed at all times
  • Dogs must be dog & people friendly/tolerant
  • Bring your own poop bags
  • Bring your own water bowl
  • If your dog poops … you scoop
  • Your dog … your responsibility
  • No dogs in toilets
  • Dogs must be kept clear of food/drink stalls

Please thoroughly consider if your dog is suitable to bring to the markets. We are not a training ground/facility. Bad behavior by dogs or owners will not be tolerated.

We do thank dog owners who participated in our 2020 trial for your cooperation and for making it a success.

Stall Inquiries and Bookings

Booking and prepayment are required to hold a stall. Bookings can be made through our online booking form, phone or at the Show Office in person.

Bookings close each week by Thursday 12 noon and are subject to receiving payment.
A late fee may apply for bookings made after this time.

No bookings and payment will be accepted on the day.

Stall Types

Acceptable stall types include (not limited to): Fresh Produce, Food & Beverages, Breads & Baked Goods, Butcher/Deli, Seafood, Nuts/Sweets/Jams, Health Goods, Artisan Stock, Craft/Handmade Goods, Plants, Service, Information, Antiques, Collectables, and other Specialty stalls. For secondhand goods, please see below.

Quality Secondhand/Preloved

Goods must be of an acceptable quality and cleanliness. Sites must be setup neatly, ideally with all goods on tables. Bulky items or shallow containers are permitted on tarps. Clothes must be folded or hung. If you are attending the Car Boot Section of the Market please ensure all goods are neatly set-out and easily accessible.


All Stallholders are welcome. Whether it’s once off or regularly.
Booking and prepayment are required. No turn-ups accepted.

Stallholder Costs and Conditions

Outside Site: (3m Frontage x 4-5m Depth) – $30

Undercover Site: (2.3m x 0.9m Table) – $20 (please check availability before booking)

Food/Beverage Site: (3m Frontage x 4-5m Depth) – $40

Additional Sites: (Per 1 Site) – $10

Car Boot Sites: (Gazebo allowed – no larger than 3x3m) – $20

Power: (Included, subject to availability)

Public Liability Insurance: (Subject to exclusions. See Terms and Conditions)

Enter via Main Showgrounds Gate off roundabout, and queue along market metal fence on left. Stop at markers near gateway. Do not block gateway. See map below.

Stalls must continue to trade until close of trading hours or market closes early.

No vehicle movement is permitted, during the market trading hours.
